As the “Vol. 2” in the title suggests, this is the second collection of Metal Gear Solid games. The first came out in 2023 and was very well received — as it should be, since it included the first three games in the trilogy, all of which are stone-cold classics. This new collection contains the following games:
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
- Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (HD Collection version)
- Metal Gear: Ghost Babel
The most notable inclusion here is Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. This collection represents the first time that game has ever been available on a platform besides PlayStation 3 (and how many of us still have a PS3 connected to a TV?). It’s a phenomenal game that’s unlike any other and carries the MGS story to its conclusion (MGS 5 is a prequel). Upon its 2008 release, gave MGS4 a 10/10 in our review.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has appeared in previous collections, but it’s an integral part of the MGS story. It originally appeared on PS Vita in 2010 and instantly became one of (if not
